I am not buying this until something is done about that art, the game looks absolutely incredible but that art is so ridiculously bad that it would muddy the whole experience

Yea the graphics, pixel art, combat animations… it's GORGEOUS. However I strongly urge you to reconsider the character drawings, they don't gel well with the awesome pixel art at all and honestly look pretty cheap – like something off of deviantart. Not horrible necessarily in a vacuum but it looks jarring when the game itself looks so vivid, detailed and great.
I hope they'd consider making a revision where the character portraits are pixel art as well, would make everything so much more cohesive.
It is very nice to see a classic adventure in a classic jrpg.

Look like a 1990s game from the 16 bit area. Looks an insteresting game and a Ps4 exclusive game.
