CrossfireX Multiplayer Review

CrossfireX multiplayer reviewed by Travis Northup on Xbox Series X. Also available on Xbox One.

CrossfireX’s multiplayer isn’t just a disappointing console version of a popular PC shooter: it’s also nightmare fuel due to its disastrously inaccurate shooting mechanics and a masterclass in what not to do in the design of most of its multiplayer modes. There are tiny bright spots in the form of the entertaining Spectre mode’s stealth, but none of that excuses a multiplayer experience so painfully undercooked that it should never have been released in its current state. The fact that it includes pay-to-win microtransactions and that isn’t even the worst thing about it should tell you everything you need to know.

  1. Call me crazy as weird and broken as this game is id play this all day compared to vanguard and cold snore lol

  2. Funny how a lot of 2D indie titles get high scores with simplistic graphics, and then you got a game this with more detailed graphics completely flopping.

  3. Absolutely love this game, it’s probably not for COD fans more suited to those that love Counter Strike. Noobs beware it’s a bit of a learning curve, but don’t let it put you off.
Single player campaign plays a bit like Fear 2 if anyone remembers that one.

  4. Crossfire was successful back when counter strike was popular back in the early 2000, it has alot of similar trait to CS like the way the gunplay was skilled focus and which required control of the mouse for recoil, the choice to remake it today is not a bad choice but to make it an console exclusive is a terrible one.

  5. Its better playing the free to play version of Crossfire X which is named Crossfire HD in China and has the same content as the xbox version. The only difference is that Crossfire HD has been constantly updating since its release on June 2021 last year and has more content and bug free compared to the Xbox version released recently. PC's version of Crossfire X wins on this one.

PS: Crossfire HD has also the same campaign so ?? Why do you play beyond a paywall where you can play it for free, well only for those who have QQ accounts can access the game. Lastly the game is pretty fun on multiplayer.

  6. Omg go back to freaking Pokémon whoever is playing this plays like they’ve never played a first person shooter DAYUM
